Nii Oto-kunor Vanderpuye has 2 decades of experience in large, complex organizations managing dynamic and diverse teams of subject matter experts. He is first a family man married to Abba and together are blessed with 2 boys & 2 girls; Nii Yankos, Nii Kojo, Naa Yankoba & Naa Ayorkor respectively we’re both nature lovers frequenting long walks in the woods, by the sea and even tend a home garden in the Spring & summer months.
I was moved by MLK’s Letter from Birmingham Jail quote April 1963 “The true neighbor will risk his position, his prestige, and even his life for the welfare of others” to commence my charity work in downtown DC offering Financial Literacy classes to at risk youth and high school kids, volunteering for DC soup kitchen and food packaging for homeless, Complimentary 1st Time Home Buyer programs for DC residents and recently joined Reset Online to offer IT/ Financial literacy programs for school kids.
Vanderpuye is currently a Regional Banking Manager with Wells Fargo Bank in Washington DC, prior to that he was the Co-Founder and Chairman of Innovistta Group LLC a premier debt securitization and advisory start-up firm in the United States and a champion of an efficient and effective secondary debt market in developing economies.
Vanderpuye worked for and was a member of the founding group of UBA Bank Ghana and its predecessor; he established and led its Domestic Corporate Unit. Also served as a consultant for Ernst & Young, a Commercial Lender for Standard Chartered Bank, a Retail Bank Manager for Chevy Chase Bank and SunTrust Bank USA.
In 2008 he was a Financial Advisor for Axa Equitable USA & the World Financial Group USA respectively. More recently, from 2017 he is serving as Regional Bank Manager for Wells Fargo Bank USA, where he helping turn around non performing Financial Centers into profit centers post the financial crisis.
In his career at UBA, SunTrust Bank and World Financial Group, Vanderpuye’ responsibilities spanned capital markets and investment banking, consumer banking, and operational services, he was also responsible for risk management, coaching and inspiring Teams to secure investment and business clients in the affluent Washington DC market.
Vanderpuye received Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Ghana and a Master of Business Administration from Leicester Business School UK.
