Her passion and purpose in life is to liberate and empower herself so that she can liberate and empower others to attain their heart desires and live their best lives now. As a founding member of AfriHep, she desires to lead the way for our future leaders and target the minds of our youth to believe in themselves to achieve whatever they set their minds to.

Her love to serve her community and humanity has led to numerous leadership roles throughout her life. Dr. Ruthlove also volunteered in New Horizon Medical Offices, a clinic in the Bronx, NY for 7 years.

There are a couple of wise sayings that have become the personal mission, vision, and value statements of Dr. Ruthlove’s life. She has a mission to live a life of unconditional love, integrity, and honesty; in the words of Maya Angelou, her “mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” As a woman of faith, she learned at an early age that, as Joel Osteen says it best, “when things are difficult, smile by faith. Don’t wait until you feel better.” The powerful words of Henry Ford, “whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right” has shaped her life over the years in breaking free from societal pressures, standards, and status quo because she believes, in the words of Maya Angelou, “If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be.” W.Clement Stone's words to “aim for the moon so that even if you miss, you will land amongst the stars” resonates highly with Dr. Ruthlove that it is her creed in everything she does in life.

Dr. Ruthlove enjoys spending time with her family, watching documentaries, listening to music, dancing, and reading. A few of her favorite books are: The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Don Miguel Ruiz; Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch; The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and Running on Empty byJonice Webb and Christine Musello.
